Long Term Complications Of Renal Transplantation

aNefroloji BD, İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi, İSTANBUL Posttransplant complications can be either surgical or medical; appear in the early or late posttransplant period; localized to allograft or attack the whole body. Chronic allograft nephropathy and rejection, recurrence of the original disease, de novo glomerulonephritis, urinary tract/ polyoma virus BK infections and chronic calcineurin toxicity are among the complications localized to the allograft. Systemic infections, neoplasias and other (fluid-electrolyte, acid-base distur-bances, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, hematological, endocrine-metabolic, locomotor, psychiatric and ocular) complica-tions are included among the systemic complications.
